Holiday of Hope – InterAct Toy Drive:
Garnish believes in supporting our community and doing our part to help others. That’s why we are hosting our “2nd Annual Holiday Toy Drive” for the women and children of InterAct of Wake County. Interact needs your help to make the holiday brighter for families rebuilding their lives after leaving an abusive environment!
From now through mid-December, we are accepting new, unused, and unwrapped toys to donate to InterAct’s Annual Holiday Bazaar Event.
For one weekend in December, InterAct is transformed into a store, where mothers may “shop” to choose toys and gifts for their children, and children can choose small gifts for their mothers too. A photographer takes family photos in front a festive backdrop; children have an opportunity to wrap their gifts for Mom, and the air is full of the holiday spirit.
Last year, the Holiday Bazaar served 109 families, including more than 250 children. Some clients shared that they were not sure what they would have done for the holidays without this opportunity, and there were many grateful smiles and tears when they learned it was all made possible through generous donations of toys, gifts, and time from our community.
