This month, Garnish turns ELEVEN, and we’re feeling all the things: grateful, inspired, and, honestly, a little emotional. What started as a vision has grown into something beyond our wildest dreams. The G Spot was and remains a Raleigh luxury salon, but she’s evolved into a space where stories are shared, confidence is restored, and magic happens daily.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re reflecting on how far we’ve come and looking forward to what lies ahead.
How It Started …
Eleven years ago, Garnish opened its doors in Raleigh, NC, as a full-service luxury salon. But founder Candice Motley had a mission in mind: to fill a gap in the beauty industry. Mot had a heart for women facing hair loss, whether from medical conditions, stress, hormones, or life itself. She knew these women deserved more than temporary fixes or uninspired solutions. Mot believed in a better way—one rooted in artistry, empathy, and real transformation.
From day one, Garnish has been about more than just hair. We’re about restoring confidence, rewriting old stories, and offering a supportive, judgment-free space for women navigating hair changes of all kinds.
… How It’s Going
Today, Garnish is proud to be known as a Raleigh luxury salon with a reputation that reaches far beyond city limits. Our signature services—including Custom Crowns, mesh integration, and personalized extension transformations—are designed specifically for women seeking nonsurgical solutions that are both beautiful and believable.
Our mission has evolved, our skills continue to develop, and our team has never been stronger. Every stylist and staff member here is more than an artist; they’re a guide, a listener, and a champion for the women we serve. Today, we’re proud that about half of those women are trusting us to walk with them through a hair loss journey.
We’ve added new faces, new certifications, and new ways to support our guests (have you seen our espresso machine yet?). But our foundation hasn’t changed. We’re still here to meet women where they are—with empathy, excellence, and a touch of Garnish magic.
