How to Beat the Heat: SU Line
Summer is full of fun activities!
Whether you’re going to the beach, chilling at the pool, grilling out, or spending time at the lake the theme of Summer is sunshine and water. Both of which seem awesome until your beautiful blonde highlights start looking a tinge green, your chocolate brown is bordering on brassy, and your ends can only be described as crunchy.
Surviving the summer with your gorgeous hair color intact, and your strands completely healthy takes a little bit of work, but it IS possible. We want to make sure you’re totally prepared for summer hair care, so we created…

Today we’re going to introduce you to your new best friend when it comes to all things sun, beach, and pool. Her name is SU, and she’s here to save your hair. The SU line from Davines includes a variety of products directly designed to prevent sun damage, treat sun-exposed hair and skin, and retain moisture. The entire line centers on an ingredient called Savona Chinotto, an Italian plant extract rich in vitamin C, which provides anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits and protects the hair and skin.
The first of the SU line is the hair&body wash.
Because it’s designed to cleanse away chlorine and salt build up on hair, it utilizes mild surfactants which gently remove chemicals and elements from hair and skin. This shampoo/wash combo also utilizes the Savona Chinotto to moisturize hair and skin, keeping your hair soft and actually preserving the life of your tan. Seriously. You can’t beat a product that’s good for your hair AND your tan.
SU Mask
The SU hair mask treats your hair in the way most masks do—aiming to increase moisture, improve softness, and add shine. What sets the SU mask apart is that it’s specifically targeted to treat sun-damaged hair and counteract elements such as chlorine and salt water. The SU mask works best when left in for at least 5 minutes, and up to 15. It includes the same Savona Chinotto, along with Shea Butter for moisture and softness.
The next product in the line may be the golden child of the SU family.
SU Milk
SU milk can be used in a variety of ways to treat your hair. It can be spritzed into hair (wet OR dry) before sun exposure, acting as a protective barrier. It’s basically sunscreen for your hair, including UV protectants. Additionally, you can use it as a leave-in treatment post-shower. Spray throughout your hair, comb through for even distribution, and you’ve got the benefits of a leave-in cream with the ease of a spray.
SU Aftersun
Finally, the SU line concludes with SU Aftersun. This product is actually specifically for skin rather than hair. This after-sun cream gel is specially formulated to hydrate and restore moisture to the skin. It contrasts skin reddening and burning after sun exposure utilizing aloe extract and vitamin E to soothe the skin.
Taking care of your hair through the Summer elements starts with being prepared before sun and water exposure, and treating your hair and skin after. The SU line covers the spectrum and will be your partner in crime through all of your Summer activities.
