The Garnish Education Program: Garnish Takes NYC

In just a few weeks the Garnish team will be off on an adventure as we take on New York City and the International Beauty Show. As a salon that is dedicated to always staying ahead of the industry curve, learning the latest skills and trends, and being able to bring the best of the best back into the studio for all of you, we just HAD to attend one of the biggest hair shows on the East Coast.

The IBS convention brings together industry leaders to teach classes, provide demonstrations, and enable stylists from all over the country to network and converse about where the industry is going and how to stay at the top of your game. While we are there, the entire team will attend classes each day that will cover everything from coloring and cutting to trichology and hair loss to business and social media.

The show is about innovation and education, which makes it the perfect trip for the Garnish Team.

Each year at Garnish, we choose to travel as a team for an educational event. Not only does this grow our knowledge and experience within the industry, but it also strengthens our team. If you’ve been to Garnish you may have noticed that the vibes in our studio are a little different than your average salon. Our stylists frequently work as a team, consulting with one another on color formulas, helping out with a shampoo, and taking care of one another’s clients if their schedule can better accommodate a guest’s needs. Within the studio we call ourselves a “framily” because we believe in caring for one another and lifting one another up just as you would for your friends and family. We strongly believe in sharing those positive vibes with our guests, making sure that you all feel just as at home in the studio as we do.

The Garnish team loves being able to level-up and we are constantly challenging ourselves to be the best we can. Our upcoming trip is just one such example of how we strive to seek out and bring back as much knowledge and learning as we possibly can. During our trip the studio will be closed from Saturday March 3rd through Tuesday March 6th. We will reopen on Wednesday March 7th at 12 noon.

If you know you will need to schedule an appointment during that time we encourage you to reach out to us before we close on Friday March 2nd at 8:00 pm. If you do need to reach us during that time, we will be available via our email: We look forward to sharing our experience with you all, and invite you to follow along on social media (instagram link/facebook link) to see all of the fun and learning in real-time.
